How NLP therapy works
NLP = Neuro (relates to the brain) Linguistic (the language we use both internally and to others) Programming (our internal coding and the patterns we run throughout our daily lives).
NLP works on the assumption that people can be whoever they want to be. However, we often get stuck in a pattern of negative thoughts and actions, which sends us in the opposite direction of where we would like to be. NLP is a series of tools and techniques to help you be a better version of yourself. These techniques, along with a good dose of PMA (Positive Mental Attitude), can put you back in control of your life and get you more of what you want. It can help you turn chaos into calm, self-doubt into self-worth, anxiety into confidence.
Like counselling and psychotherapy, we do use some talk therapy in our sessions. This is mostly to find out what feelings you want to get rid of and work out what you would like more of instead. However, we then very quickly move on to the practical, interactive techniques part, so that when I sign you off, you go away with an internal tool-kit full of fabulous ways to make yourself feel better.
NLP is fast-working and effective, so typically you are paying for far fewer sessions than you would with traditional counselling or psychotherapy.
Once you know NLP, it can be used throughout your life (school, work, sport, mental health, emotions) for the rest of your life to get where you want to be.
NLP4kids techniques have been taken from proven NLP techniques, which have then been developed and adapted to work brilliantly with younger people. This makes the sessions fun and engaging. We don't spend time dwelling on the problem; as soon as we know what the problem is, we immediately begin to focus on the solution instead.
Sounds great, doesn't it? It is!
